How long have you worked at Therapy Stars?

I started working at therapy stars in June 2026

Relevant Industry Experience:

I worked as a therapy support worker for three years at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and spent time on medical and surgical wards.

Once qualifying I spent three and a half years working at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt hospital and completed rotations in the following areas: Orthopaedics, Stroke (at Princess Royal Hospital), Paediatrics, outpatients (MSK & Rheumatology), and spinal injuries.

I learnt so much during each of my rotations but developed a real passion for paediatric physiotherapy so I am delighted to be part of the therapy stars team.

Relevant Industry Accomplishments:

Faculty prize for excellence in physiotherapy from Coventry University.

Relevant Industry Qualifications (including place of study):

Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) from Coventry university

I have also attended and completed the following courses:

  • Angela Jackson: Kids back 2 sport
  • APCP: Introduction to paediatric physiotherapy

What do you enjoy about your job?

I love having the opportunity to support children and families achieve their goals through functional and fun means.

What do you enjoy about working for Therapy Stars?

My favourite part of this role is getting to know our clients and their families to help individualise their sessions to ensure they are as fun and engaging as possible.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I love going on walks with my wife, Rebecca, and my dog, Walter. I love film and find myself regularly at the cinema to watch whatever is on (usually with an ice cream!).

If you weren’t in your current job role/career, what would you be?

I am a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and enjoy training regularly so I would love to help other people develop their skills through coaching.

What is your hidden talent?

I can recognise a flag from any country in the world!

Brief Biography:

I was born and raised in Shrewsbury and grew up alongside my two older brothers. After working alongside my mum as a therapy support worker at Royal Shrewsbury hospital for three years I was fortunate to be offered a place at Coventry University.

I studied at Coventry university for three years during the pandemic and discovered my interest in paediatric physiotherapy during my first placement.

After qualifying I returned to Shrewsbury and began my qualified career at Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital (RJAH). I thoroughly enjoyed my time at RJAH but felt ready for a new challenge and was keen to specialise in the area of physiotherapy where I am most passionate: Paediatrics!

I am very excited to be part of the therapy stars team and look forward to supporting our clients to achieve their goals, and hopefully have fun along the way!
