Therapy Stars is a private physiotherapy company specialising in providing assessment and treatment for babies, children, and young adults. We provide child physiotherapy services in our fully-equipped Physiotherapy Clinic in Penley, on the Wrexham/Shropshire border.
Our Services
Regular Physiotherapy
Therapy Stars specialises in the assessment and treatment of babies, children, and young adults, from our clinic in Penley, Wrexham. If you are concerned about your child’s development, we can support you through the journey of finding the right treatment options for your child, whether or not you have a diagnosis.
Intensive Physiotherapy
Intensive rehabilitation programmes offer daily intensive physiotherapy over a short period of time, such as school holidays or post-surgery. In order for your child to make good progress, our packages are built in such a way that you can walk away feeling confident continuing the methods, exercises, and techniques outside of the clinic and once the programme ends.
We are currently unable to offer Hydrotherapy sessions, but we’re working hard to bring this service back as soon as we can.
How it Works...
When to see us
When deciding whether you should see a physiotherapist, consider the following questions:- Does your child require physiotherapy to compliment their current NHS treatment?
- Is your child awaiting a physiotherapy appointment, but you would like them to be seen straight away?
- Is your baby/child not meeting their developmental milestones, such as rolling, sitting or walking?
- Have you got concerns about your baby/child’s development?
- Has your child got an injury or medical condition that may require physiotherapy?
- Are you looking for Intensive Physiotherapy sessions for your child?
Assessment
Once you have contacted us about your child, we will ask you to book a complimentary phone call with one of our physiotherapists, who will help you decide whether your child would benefit from a physiotherapy assessment. During the phone call, you’ll be able to express any concerns you may have about your child’s development.Treatment
The needs of children and young adults can be very different to those of adults, which is why working with a specialised children’s physiotherapist can be essential to meeting their needs. Our physiotherapists understand children’s development, conditions, safety, and the need to communicate and work with families, which enables them to provide effective treatment for their child. Child Physiotherapy sessions usually take place at our fully-equipped clinic in Penley, Wexham. However, home, school, and nursery visits are also available if required.Qualified Physiotherapists
At Therapy Stars, your children’s wellbeing and safety is always a priority.
Our Children’s Physiotherapists have over 90 years of combined experience in the field, with a wide range of specialities. Following best industry practice, all our Physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), as well as being members of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP).
Additionally, all our team members undergo Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) checks, as well as being up to date with the latest Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children CPD-certified training.
What our families say...
"We would like to say the biggest thank you to Chloe and Therapy Stars for the support, therapy and reassurance that she provided to help my son regain his mobility after a sudden collapse from FND in school. Chloe was brilliant, warm, friendly, very knowledgeable and able to make the sessions fun. My son enjoyed every session of physiotherapy and rapidly improved from being completely wheelchair reliant to being confident enough to test his skills on the treadmill! What really stands out for me as a parent is how Chloe related to my son, engaged him with games, activities and challenges which made the sessions so enjoyable. I am honestly not sure he'd be walking without Chloe's help. Thank you for the excellent service you provide."
"J has cerebral palsy and has had weekly physio sessions with Hannah for the last four years. He looks forward to her visits and is noticeably relaxed and sleeps well afterwards.
We are convinced that the ongoing treatment is vital to his health and well-being. Highly recommended."
"My Son, F, is 12 years old and has total body Cerebral Palsy and he is a full-time wheelchair user.
It is essential for F’s physical well-being that he has a 24-hour postural care programme in plicae to keep him healthy.
F has been having weekly private physiotherapy since he was 6 months old. Therapy Stars Limited have been working with F for the past 4 years and Sian meets with F on a weekly basis for 1 hour. In my opinion good quality physiotherapy is very difficult to find and we will continue working Sian because of the positive benefits for F’s physical well-being.
Sian keeps me updated on a weekly basis. She works alongside other therapists and professionals in F’s world to ensure that everyone is working together for the best possible outcomes for F. As a parent of a child with a disability we often have worries and concerns. Sian always has time to talk to me and discuss any issues that I have, and I appreciate her support."
