How long have you worked at Therapy Stars?

Since August 2021.

Relevant Industry Experience:

None! I’m a parent of a now 8 year old son who had a very complex medical start to life and who has Downs Syndrome. Therapy Stars were his first private physio when he left hospital and it was wonderful to see him progressing and getting so much enjoyment from his physiotherapy.

Relevant Industry Qualifications:

N/A but I am studying for midwifery degree so I have a genuine passion for supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.

What do you enjoy about your job?

Knowing that it really makes a difference. Even though I only do the office support, it part of the chain of involvement which develops and nurtures each of our customers.

What do you enjoy about working for Therapy Stars?

I enjoy speaking with all of our parents and carers to understand how we can try to help and support. The energy and drive that some of our parents have is contagious… it leaves you feeling like anyone can change the world if they try hard enough. Wonderful, wonderful people!

What are your interests outside of work?

I love the water. I enjoy rowing and a bit of wild swimming. Any excuse to be near or in the water and I’m there!

If you weren’t in your current job role/career, what would you be?

A midwife…. hopefully! Failing that, I would have a lovely bakery somewhere beautiful!

What is your hidden talent?

I have a weird memory for car number plates! I remember most number plates I see! Failing that, I used to do Irish Dancing competitively- my ankles don’t like me very much now that I am older!

Brief Biography:

I have had a history in the Events industry and supporting small businesses to be as successful as they can be. My first exposure to the benefits of physiotherapy was when I worked with the Cystic Fibrosis trust for a couple of years, delivering their UK fundraising campaigns. We broke the world record for the most people bouncing on space hoppers at any one time to highlight the benefit of bouncing and physiotherapy for those with CF to help clear their lungs!
